Position Overview
This is the initial role within the Field Technician trajectory and is fundamental to creating a solid foundation as a capable Field Technician. The primary role of this position is to install and manage the low voltage components of the AV projects while learning, fine tuning, and eventually becoming the expert in the necessary skills, attention to detail, and pace needed to progress to subsequent phases within the Field Technician trajectory.
Core Responsibilities
- Eager and hungry to learn from others and demonstrate the ability to apply learned skills independently
- Flexible mindset to adapt to job sites, sometimes working independently while other times working as part of a team
- Performs all aspects of the rough in scope for low voltage wiring per local building code
- Translates information for device locations from drawings and plans into accurate rough ins onsite
- Completes all aspects of job scope with consistency and care, following all steps within standard operating procedures
- Works well on busy job sites with many different internal and external stakeholders
- Maintains consistent communication and collaboration with project managers, Director of Operations, and other relevant, internal roles and externals stakeholders
- Completes and accurately documents all onsite project details, paying the highest level of attention to detail
- Onsite work may consist of local and remote locations that require travel
Professional Qualifications
- Passion and interest in low voltage installation
- Familiar and comfortable reading construction and wiring plans and schematics
- General construction experience with knowledge and understanding of local building code for low voltage wiring and building requirements
- Must have current, valid, and clean driver’s license and driving record
- Shows uncompromising respect for the client’s property
- Demonstrates eagerness and hunger to be constantly improving in order to deliver the highest quality product
- Checks the ego at the door and leans into being a team player
